Announcement

The MST program is not accepting applications. Please consider our 9-unit Tax Practice Certificate.

Current and newly admitted Spring 2025 MST students with questions can contact Lucas Graduate School at lucas-school@sjsu.edu.

Our 9-unit Tax Practice Certificate includes a 3-unit course on tax research to enable you to find, understand, apply and explain tax laws, plus courses covering taxation of different types of business entities and transactions. Students can choose from a variety of elective courses to help focus their studies, and the co-curricular opportunities give students a chance to engage with professionals, other graduate students, and community members. Classes meet in the evenings and occasionally on Saturday mornings.

Tax Practice courses are also available to qualified students through Open University prior to formal admission.
