Elections
Elections to the Academic Senate give you an opportunity to participate in shared
governance. As stipulated in the Constitution of the Academic Senate, Article II,
tenured and probationary regular faculty who have completed at least one year’s service,
and temporary faculty who have completed at least one Academic year of service at
the University, are eligible to stand for election.
Elections are held at the start of the spring semester. Each college, and the General Unit are allocated seats based on FTEF [pdf]. The Call for Nominations will go out January 22, 2025.
