Current Research Activities
Her research focuses on gender and children's toys. She earned her PhD in Sociology at UC Davis in 2013.
Dr. Sweet is interested broadly in the relationship between cultural beliefs and social inequalities. Her current research examines the relationships between gender, children's toys, and gender inequality over the 20th century. She has written about gender and children's toys for The Atlantic and the New York Times and her work has been featured in many national and international press outlets.
